The Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England)(RQF) accredited by TQUK is a comprehensive qualification designed for individuals aspiring to work in residential care with children in a care role. This course is approved by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and it is regulated by Ofqual. Aligned with the new children's homes regulations enforced from April 2015, this diploma equips learners with essential skills and knowledge vital for supporting children and young people in residential childcare settings. The curriculum encompasses various key areas including child development and well-being, positive relationships, health and safety, communication, positive behavior, and more. The qualification replaces the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (Social Care Pathway) and is a mandatory requirement for those entering the field of children's homes, with completion expected within two years of employment. To achieve this qualification, learners must achieve 53 credits from the Mandatory and 8 credits from the optional units.
