Course Description :

The purpose of this course is to develop the knowledge and skills required by managers and leaders. Achieving the qualification should enable learners to innovate and respond to a changing environment and to meet challenges and opportunities within the sector. This course is approved by TQUK and has been designed for those who want to work in a management position within the health & social care sector, specialising in adult mental health care. This qualification is a CQC requirement for anyone who wants to apply to be a Care Manager or Registered Care Manager in the care sector specialising in mental health care management. It replaces the old Level 4 registered manager qualification and the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and social care, children and young people. If you are looking to be a Registered Manager for a nursing or residential care home specialising in mental health care or would like to start your own mental health care home, it is important that you undertake this qualification to meet the CQC requirements to be a Registered Manager. If you are working as a Care Manager within the mental health care sector, it is not too late, you can still obtain this qualification to upgrade yourself and be qualified to a Registered Manager standard. You will need to achieve a minimum of 80 credits to obtain this qualification across a range of Mandatory and optional units.
