Many people look at successful and wealthy people and envy them or wish they were them. It is easy to look at someone else’s success and want the same, but many, when hearing their stories, the sacrifices they had to make and the challenges they have faced, change their minds.
An entrepreneur is someone who sets up their own business by taking on financial risks in the hope of profiting. Even just the word “risk” on its own can scare so many people out of starting up.
But you tell me, what do we have in life that does not involve any risk? Simply crossing the road to go to work has risks involved; travelling by bus, train, or car has its own risks. There is nothing in life that does not have any risk associated with it!
I strongly believe that whoever said “working for someone else will not make you rich” is 100% right. For those of you who want to get out of the rat race and become an entrepreneur, you do not have to leave your job completely and jump in at full speed. You can do it one step at a time. “Your gift will make room for you” is a quote from the Bible. I am only using this to let you know that your passion, what you enjoy doing, what you like and enjoy is the way to look at, and this is what will lead you to your business idea.
With how advanced everything is nowadays, there is nothing that cannot be done. If dogs are your passion, then why not look into dog sitting services, dog grooming, and dog day care? If beauty is your passion, the list is endless: nail technician, beauty therapist, makeup artist, hairdresser, hair extensions, bridal hair, etc.
The definition of an entrepreneur includes turning risk into profit, but it does not always have to be this way. If you keep your full-time job and start developing your business after hours and on weekends, you can still keep your income coming in and build something that can become a successful business. So many people started in their bedroom or garage, and today they have multi-million businesses. Do some research on this and I am sure you will be amazed at what you discover! A lot of businesses do not require any capital or might need very little capital. Think along those lines: what can you do with what you have and what you know?

Do not stop thinking of the possibilities out there; focus on your goal and what you want to achieve and go for it! It will be hard, you will have challenges, and you will have to make sacrifices, but think about what your life could be like after 10 years with your own successful business. Are you ready to work hard, make sacrifices, constantly learn and develop, and give it your all for 10 years or less, so that you can have the life of your dreams or a future that is settled for the rest of your 60 years plus?
